As custom framers, we all know the little details matter. The way a project is finished, picked up, or shipped can say a lot about how organized your shop is—and how smooth the customer experience feels. That’s why in Framing POS, we’ve added some new features that make tracking these final steps clearer and easier. This update comes directly from your suggestions, and I’m excited to share what’s rolling out soon.

We’ve added two new statuses to the work order page: Picked Up and Shipped. These are small changes that make a big difference in keeping track of orders, especially once they leave your shop.

Picked Up Status
When a project is marked as “Picked Up,” you’ll see a new drop-down menu that lets you add more detail. For example, you can note if it was picked up by:

  • a man

  • a woman

  • a couple

  • someone else

  • a delivery service

There’s also an optional notes field, so you can add a quick detail like “picked up in a white BMW”. On top of that, FramingPOS automatically adds a time and date stamp when you save the status—keeping your records neat and accurate.

Shipped Status
For shipped projects, you can now log which shipping service you used: UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS, Local Messenger, or Other. You’ll also have an optional field for the tracking number, so you can keep everything in one place without digging through email. Like with pickups, the system records the time and date when the status is saved, and you can always edit it later if needed.

Why This Matters
These updates may sound simple, but they help close the loop on each order in a professional way. Whether you’re handing off a framed piece in your shop or boxing it up to ship across the country, you’ll now have a clear record of how and when it left your hands. That means fewer mix-ups, smoother communication, and more peace of mind for you and your customers.

These little touches are what make FramingPOS more than just a point of sale system—it’s designed to fit the way framers actually work. I hope you’ll find these new statuses as useful as I do.
