Since the show in Orlando, we’ve rolled out a lot of new features inside our picture framing software, and honestly, many of them came directly from your feedback. I just want to say thank you. The input, ideas, and real world suggestions from fellow framers are what help shape Framing POS into a better POS system for frame shops every day.

One of the big updates is vendor oversize rules. If you work with vendors that have minimums or percentage upcharges once you hit certain lengths, you can now set that up directly in Framing POS. So if a moulding goes over 12 feet and the vendor adds 30 percent, or over 15 feet and adds 40 percent, the system will calculate that automatically for you. No more second guessing or manual adjustments.

We’ve also completed our integration with Zoho Books and QuickBooks, which will be rolling out very soon. This is a big step toward making your workflow smoother and giving you better visibility into your numbers without extra work.

Invoices are now available in French, and we’re adding a translate option so you can use Framing POS in multiple languages right from a dropdown. This is especially helpful if you serve a diverse customer base.

You can now bulk upload your own moulding inventory, which should save a lot of time, especially when you’re getting set up or updating large catalogs.

We also added an option to make labor tax exempt. Since some states do not require sales tax on labor, you can now turn that on or off depending on how your shop operates.

The purchase order system has been improved. You can now create blank purchase orders or manually add items whenever needed, giving you more flexibility in how you manage orders.

We’ve added a “How This Works” section across most pages, with more coming. It’s there to quickly explain what a feature does and how to use it, so you can spend less time figuring things out and more time running your shop.

Sales tax rounding now matches QuickBooks exactly, so your numbers line up cleanly and you can have peace of mind when it comes to reporting.

We also made it much easier to reorder and insert mouldings and mats in a more intuitive way, which speeds up the design and order process.

You can now build framing based on art size or outside dimensions. This is especially helpful if you’re working with designers or doing projects like mirrors where the finished size matters more than the artwork.

One of my favorite updates, and something we worked on with great input from matboard manufacturers, is a smart mat suggestion feature. When your design exceeds a 32 x 40 sheet, Framing POS will recommend the exact mat number you need. It’s simple, but incredibly helpful in day to day use.

All of these updates will be rolling out to all accounts over the next 10 days, so keep an eye out.

We also have a promotion running through the end of March 2026. Anyone who signs up for Framing POS before then will receive our visualization feature for free, which is normally a $20 per month add on. As long as your account stays active with no lapses or declined payments, you will continue to have access to it.

If you’ve been curious about trying a new POS system for frame shops or just want something that saves time, simplifies your workflow, and gives you peace of mind, feel free to give Framing POS a try.
